Sue Swartzenburg works with acrylics, inks, watercolour, alcohol ink, and mixed media, creating art that celebrates the poetry of nature. Inspired by light and shadow, colour, shape and pattern, her work reflects an organic journey of discovery and expression. 

After a successful career in footwear design, Sue turned her focus fully to painting, embracing her lifelong passion for creativity.

Born in England and moving to Canada at 16, she lived in Stoney Creek for 40 years before settling in Pelham, where the scenic countryside and rolling Niagara escarpment now provide daily inspiration. Drawn to the quiet strength of natural forms, Sue holds a special affinity for pebbles - symbols of stability, eternity and the tireless power of nature - which often find their way into her artistic vision as reminders of beauty, endurance and wonder.

This original  acrylic painting has been matted in black and framed in black.
