Yukon artist, Esther Winter has combined the warm tones of repurposed antique time with bright new metals to create this unique jewelry.
The antique tin was originally a four gallon "Imperial Gasoline Can", in the 1920's. The can was flattened and repurposed to make a roof for a log cabin. Ten years ago, the cabin had to be dismantled because is was leaning precariously, Esther saved the rood and has repurposed it a second time in this beautiful jewelry.
This necklace features a textured 2.8 cm copper heart resting on a flat 3.2 cm flat recycled antique tin disk suspended on a 18" waxed cotton cord with a sterling silver clasp.
